Eliza's baptism day
It was a special day for our family and also for the Spanish branch. Four children from the branch were baptized all on the same night which is a pretty amazing thing for the branch. Another little girl was also baptized the next day making five baptisms for the branch in one weekend!
Eliza was baptized by her dad.
Kitchen Remodel
The week before Eliza's baptism we had our kitchen completely torn up for a kitchen remodel. We got all new granite countertops and had our island reconfigured so that instead of being two levels and curved, it is now one big island that goes straight out. It's so nice to have more counterspace and my kitchen actually seems so much more roomy now that the island is straight instead of curved. And the best thing is that the contractors actually had it done when they said they would and it was completely done when all of our company arrived!
We were without a kitchen sink for about three days. One night, we resorted to washing dishes in the bathtub and the kids thought it was great fun!

Eliza's 8!
Eliza turned 8 today! I can hardly believe that child #2 is already 8 years old and ready to get baptized! Ben and I must be getting old...
Eliza had a fun birthday and is very excited for her big day in a couple of weeks. We also had a little party with a few of her friends on Friday.
Painting with friends at her party.
Eating pizza!
Opening presents.
Blowing out the candles.
Eliza on her actual birthday. We had homemade cinnamon rolls with Matt, Nikki, David, Ruth and the fam.
Here's the birthday girl with some of her presents: White shoes, white bracelet, scriptures, scripture case. Anyone else seeing a theme here?
Next post: Baptism day!
