Happy 7th Birthday Eliza!

Eliza turned 7 today and it was a good day even though Ben couldn't be here. Eliza was really sad when she realized her dad would not be here for her birthday, but she was a really good sport about it. Poor Ben--he missed out on breakfast burritos, Polly Pocket and yummy carrot cake. We also didn't get to go on our traditional lunch date seeing as her birthday fell on a Sunday, but we did get to go shopping for a new birthday outfit on Friday night while Grandma watched the other kids. We are also still planning to go on a fun hike for our official birthday date when the weather gets a little nicer.

Eliza got a new scooter for her birthday and went outside to try it out.

Eliza is such a sweet girl and a joy to have around. She is a big help to me with Hazel and loves little children. She is always trying to do the right things. She is very social and loves playing with her sisters and friends. She is very meticulous and a good student. We love her lots!

Hazel: 8 months old

I can hardly believe Hazel is 8 months old already. For some reason it seems like she's growing twice as fast as any of my other kids ever did. Partly because she really has grown a lot faster than the others!

Hazel is still so sweet and has a smile ready for anyone who looks her way. She doesn't have any teeth yet which is surprising because I think all my other kids had at least one or two by this time. She doesn't crawl or roll much and is still just as content as can be to sit and watch whatever is going on around her. She loves to grab her feet and pull her little socks off which go straight into her mouth (along with everything else). I finally broke out the high chair this week and she loves to sit with us at dinner and gum a cracker or piece of bread. She loves her big brother and sisters and gives them the biggest smiles whenever she sees them. We all enjoy this sweet girl!

Conference/Easter Weekend

I am sure glad that General Conference and Easter Sunday don't always fall on the same weekend because it sure makes for one busy weekend! I do love listening to conference though and the kids were so excited to get their conference/Easter baskets on Saturday morning complete with conference packets and snacks to keep them busy as we listened. We were all very happy to have daddy home for the weekend and also got to spend time with my Jenny, Clay, Marc and Colleen.

We decorated eggs while the boys were gone to the Priesthood session.

Remodeling

Ben will be home tomorrow, but he's been wanting pictures of the kitchen so I thought I would post before and after pictures for everyone to see.

Here is the kitchen with the floor ripped out (the linoleum was underneath). Notice my dining room table in the living room. Yea, the fridge is in there too. I'm one of those people who has a really hard time living in disorder so having it that way about drove me nuts. The one good thing that came from all of this is that the wall in the picture was originally forest green, but I got a chance to paint it while my fridge was out of the way.

Here is the new floor. I thought it turned out quite nice. Too bad we're moving....

Boise trip!

My sister agreed to go on a road trip with me and the kids last weekend to visit Marcus and Colleen. I needed a break from my life!

I didn't get many pictures except for some of us at the zoo. They had a fun Easter thing going on there. We also ran into our cousin Teegan--the girls had a great time with her little girl, Isabelle.

Thanks Uncle Marcus and Aunt Colleen for a great weekend!

The first day of spring!

We all enjoyed the beautiful spring weather today. Hopefully it will stick around and entice people to come look at the house.

Brigham has been riding his tricycle all by himself this week. I'm really amazed because it took all of the girls quite awhile to figure out how to work the peddles on the bike, but he just started doing it. It must be a boy thing?

Hazel liked the sunshine too!

"No" already?

Apparently, Hazel is not a fan of green beans.
