For some reason, my kids really get into St. Patrick's Day. They plan their outfits days before and insist on eating green foods for every meal. This year, thanks to a school assignment for Ellie and Family Fun magazine, the kids decided to make leprechaun traps in an attempt to catch a real, live leprechaun.

Emma made green eggs for breakfast, I made a green smoothie. Yummm!


Eliza worked very hard on this leprechaun trap she made for school complete with a leprechaun sized rock climbing wall, real moss and gold painted rocks for bait. The principal came into her classroom and picked her favorites and Eliza's won first prize!


Emma made a cute leprechaun hat trap and Lucky the leprechaun actually did leave us a special St. Patty's day treat and this note:
