Our Easter Weekend!

We had a fun Easter weekend with lots of family to share it with. On Saturday, we colored Easter eggs and had an egg hunt.
The highlight of Brigham's weekend was this new spiderman bike that Grandpa bought him as an early birthday present.
Our friends, the Arbizo's, were having a birthday party for their daughters at the bowling alley in town so we all went bowling Saturday afternoon. Matthew and Jenny were surprisingly good bowlers...maybe they should join a bowling league? On Easter Sunday we went to Stake Conference with both sets of Grandparents.

Hazel and Grandma BarfusEmma and Eliza did not really want this picture taken, but they did a good job at faking it;)

Eliza's baptism day

Our sweet Eliza Beth was baptized today. Ben and I are so proud of Eliza and her decision to be baptized. She is such a tender-hearted little girl with such a strong desire to do what is right. I know that as she continues to grow in the gospel and in her testimony that she will do so much good in her life. We love you sooooo much Ellie!

It was a special day for our family and also for the Spanish branch. Four children from the branch were baptized all on the same night which is a pretty amazing thing for the branch. Another little girl was also baptized the next day making five baptisms for the branch in one weekend!

Eliza was baptized by her dad.

We were so lucky to have lots of family there for the baptism. Both my parents and Ben's parents were there as well as Jenny and Matthew. Of course, Matt and Nikki and David and Ruth were there to support us and Eliza. Thanks everyone!

Kitchen Remodel

The week before Eliza's baptism we had our kitchen completely torn up for a kitchen remodel. We got all new granite countertops and had our island reconfigured so that instead of being two levels and curved, it is now one big island that goes straight out. It's so nice to have more counterspace and my kitchen actually seems so much more roomy now that the island is straight instead of curved. And the best thing is that the contractors actually had it done when they said they would and it was completely done when all of our company arrived! We were without a kitchen sink for about three days. One night, we resorted to washing dishes in the bathtub and the kids thought it was great fun!
