Kindergarten graduation

So Rachel had a little program on the last day of kindergarten. As I was sitting there watching her totally NOT enjoying herself up there, I had a strange sense of deja vu. Why did this seem so familiar to me? And then I realized it was because she had acted exactly the same way last year at her pre-school program! So apparently Rachel does not enjoy being on stage. Oh well...

Rachel had a great year in kindergarten this year. Even though she was all by herself at Lafe Nelson, she made lots of great friends, loved her teacher and became one of the top readers in her class. Hurray Rachel!Rachel with her teacher Mrs. TaylorRachel with her BFF, Addie.

Joy School Graduation

Brigham had a little graduation ceremony to mark the end of the year for Joy School. We have truly loved doing Joy School this year. Brigham has grown so much and we have both made some great friends!

Brigham's friend, Hazel, received her certificate right before Brigham and stared at the camera with a very somber expression on her face (much to her mother's dismay). Brigham apparently decided to follow suit and refused to smile for this picture;)Here he is looking much more cheerful. That's my sweet boy!

Cute Hazel

The girls found these nightgowns I made a couple of Christmas' ago for the older three and realized they all needed to be handed down to the next sister. Hazel was especially thrilled with her new (floorlength) nightgown. She has been developing quite the personality lately. The girls wanted to get a picture of all of them in their "new" nightgowns and Hazel walked around happily posing for the camera and saying "cheese!".

Mother's Day

My awesome hubby helped the kids make me breakfast on Mother's Day morning. I was also showered with homemade cards and gifts from the kids. It was a great day!
I'm so grateful to have the best job in the world! I love these kids!
Brigham's birthday was on Mother's day this year so we got to share the day.

Brigham's 4th Birthday!

I love this little boy so much! He is such a sweet little boy and he brings so much joy to my life. Like most little boys he has lots of energy and loves to wrestle and play, but he is also so thoughtful and sweet. He's loves doing things for me and then saying "Do you know why I did that mommy?" When I say "Why?" he says...."Because I lub you." It makes my heart melt!Brigham opening his presents surrounded by his sisters. Brigham loves playing with his sisters, especially his sister Rachel. Rachel calls him her "little buddy".Brigham with one of his favorite birthday presents "Stinky".

The Adventures of Mr. Toad

Emma, Eliza, and Rachel were in their first play this May. The local college, EAC, has a children's theatre program that does a couple of productions a year, one for kids 4-11 and one for kids 11-14. Every kid that tries out gets a part and they attend practices for about a month in preparation for their four performances. This year's production was "The Adventures of Mr. Toad". They had a lot of fun learning the songs and they each had one small speaking part. We attended three out of the four performances and they got better with each one. It was fun to see them really get into it and have so much fun experiencing it together.

One of Rachel's best friends from school, Addie, was in the play with her.
