Business Day

Emma had business day at school this week. Each of the kids in her grade got to have a little booth where they sold all sorts of things with money that they've been earning during the year. Emma sold Otter Pops. She came home with all sorts of cool stuff and.....orange hair with blue sparkles!

Ladybugs, Ladybugs!

We went to a fun earth day party at the library on Wednesday and the kids each got their own packet of ladybugs which they thought was great. Since we're not doing a garden this year, we just let them go in our flower bed with our sad flowers that totally got pelted by the hail on Wednesday. They have had so much fun with them and have to go out and visit their ladybugs (or "betabuds" as Brigham calls them) everyday.

Picture Day!

Happy 7th Birthday Eliza!

Eliza turned 7 today and it was a good day even though Ben couldn't be here. Eliza was really sad when she realized her dad would not be here for her birthday, but she was a really good sport about it. Poor Ben--he missed out on breakfast burritos, Polly Pocket and yummy carrot cake. We also didn't get to go on our traditional lunch date seeing as her birthday fell on a Sunday, but we did get to go shopping for a new birthday outfit on Friday night while Grandma watched the other kids. We are also still planning to go on a fun hike for our official birthday date when the weather gets a little nicer.

Eliza got a new scooter for her birthday and went outside to try it out.

Eliza is such a sweet girl and a joy to have around. She is a big help to me with Hazel and loves little children. She is always trying to do the right things. She is very social and loves playing with her sisters and friends. She is very meticulous and a good student. We love her lots!

Hazel: 8 months old

I can hardly believe Hazel is 8 months old already. For some reason it seems like she's growing twice as fast as any of my other kids ever did. Partly because she really has grown a lot faster than the others!

Hazel is still so sweet and has a smile ready for anyone who looks her way. She doesn't have any teeth yet which is surprising because I think all my other kids had at least one or two by this time. She doesn't crawl or roll much and is still just as content as can be to sit and watch whatever is going on around her. She loves to grab her feet and pull her little socks off which go straight into her mouth (along with everything else). I finally broke out the high chair this week and she loves to sit with us at dinner and gum a cracker or piece of bread. She loves her big brother and sisters and gives them the biggest smiles whenever she sees them. We all enjoy this sweet girl!

Conference/Easter Weekend

I am sure glad that General Conference and Easter Sunday don't always fall on the same weekend because it sure makes for one busy weekend! I do love listening to conference though and the kids were so excited to get their conference/Easter baskets on Saturday morning complete with conference packets and snacks to keep them busy as we listened. We were all very happy to have daddy home for the weekend and also got to spend time with my Jenny, Clay, Marc and Colleen.

We decorated eggs while the boys were gone to the Priesthood session.
